Prof. Carlota Perez is a British-Venezuelan scholar who studies the socio-economic impact of major technical change. Author of the influential Technological Revolutions and Financial Capital, she is Honorary Professor at the Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP), University College London, and at SPRU, University of Sussex, UK. She is also Adjunct Professor at the Nurkse Institute, TalTech, Estonia. She works globally as consultant and speaker. Her current research project analyses the historical role of government in shaping the context for investment and innovation.
